Units of Measure

Units of measure are used in both the Inventory and the Utility Modules.

  • Inventory – Units of measure indicate how an inventory item is packaged and determines how inventory is counted. For example, when receiving or transferring inventory, you can indicate the quantity by selecting a case, 2-pack, or each (EA).

  • Utility – Units of measure are used to indicate how utilities are measured. For example, electricity is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh) and natural gas is measured in cubic feet.
